River Devon – Wild Trout Trust advice

During the autumn committee member Bob Wright arranged for the Wild Trout Trust’s Gareth Pedley (Conservation Officer North) to undertake a day long survey of a number key locations along the Devon.

The Wild Trout Trust are a conservation charity that focuses on practical work to improve habitat for trout across the UK and Ireland.  Their approach to habitat and ecosystems is based on science and refined by experience of the practical application of habitat improvements.


Gareth visited the river on October 1st and produced a report which will help formulate the DAA next couple of years work to improve habitats and fish passage in the river. See below to read the report
